Excellent post! I am trying to do almost the exact same thing. I am running CUCM 7 and I have a single (for now) trunk with bandwidth.com. One difference is that I want inbound and outbound calls to go through the bandwidth.com trunks. CSS is not an issue for me. However, bandwidth.com has an IP address that they send/receive all SIP traffic through. I don't have SIP registration info from them as I had with IP Communications. Also, 1 or 2 NICs on the asterisk box? I can not run CUBE as my router is a 3745 (not x800 series. Thanks for any assistance! You can also e-mail me at rmcgurn@rcserveny.com.

did you use two ips on the asterisk server?
I am having one way audio and using 2 ip addresses, one for the internet and one for the callmanager. I setup a sip ext on the asterisk and can call an ext on the callmanager with no issues. When I try to call the same ext via the trunk however I get one way audio.
Any ideas.

ZAP2DAHDICOMPAT=true

There's a couple of ways around this, though they all require relaying via another system:

- Set up your SMTP server as a "smart host", which is effectively just relaying all SMTP out to your ISP's email server.

- If you have your own external mail server you want to send through (again, with your system as smart host), set it up to accept connections on an alternate port (This is what I do).

- Use an outbound mail service that many of the dynamic hostname companies offer. Typically this is also just an alternate smtp port that will relay traffic for your system.

The main point for me is XML and XML supporting activities. You could say it is a way of being more formal with Aastra and making them feeling easier about helping me push XML apps forward on their platform.
