The VoIP Experience #67 - Continued melt down on trixbox forums

The VoIP Experience #67 - Continued melt down on trixbox forums

I was tipped off to look at a thread on the trixbox forums about a botched upgrade to the pbx admin portion of their product and was alarmed by the thread of Tim the Engineer. The melt down is in full melt...

Here (in case it gets deleted) is the missive to which I speak:

What the heck. I have never piped up on the FreePBX/tbm-pbxconfig debate but this is pretty much the boiling point for me.

Andrew, he is not attacking us/you/trixbox or anyone. Damn man, we do take his code and rebrand it. We strip out anything the resembles FreePBX and then spin it. I know, I roll the RPM. The comment of "If the same issue occurred on the FreePBX fixing it would take me approximately 15 seconds" is more than likely true and shows just how inept this fork is.

I reported this issue to you and Kerry last week. When I reported the module issue yet again to you this morning your comment was less than receptive "Send me the link". I have all but had it with the attitude between trixbox and Philippe. I have heard both sides and am fed up with the lot of it.

I told you guys not to do this from the beginning, damn near begged. I tried yet again after astricon to get you guys to roll back to normal FreePBX, but that just would not happen.

Why? Because of branding? Because it says FreePBX where it should say FreePBX (Not a freaking typo)? Has anyone had a problem selling a free trixbox system because it said FreePBX in certain sections of the GUI?

Ahhhhhhhh this whole thing just pisses me off.

Thank you,
Engineer Tim

And here is a link to the thread.
