Aastra and the Power of the Open Telephony Training Seminar

Gabcast! The VoIP Experience #57 - Aastra and the Power of the Open Telephony Training Seminar

I am interested in working more with XML. During this process I signed up to be a reseller and during the Aastra Webinar I noticed and spoke with several OTTS Grads. It was really odd seeing all these names I recognized popping up in the user list of the Webinar.

It was kind of like old home week... One of the comments was that so many OTTS attendees showing up in the Webinar demonstrated the effect Mark Carson of Aastra had on us.

So, in my opinion, the value of OTTS and the participation of vendors has value beyond the seminar.

What is the point in a systems integrator being a reseller? Then you have to burden yourself with the cost of maintaining stock. If you dont order in quantity then I would imagine you wouldnt get as good of a discount and you might as well order from a pure play reseller. No?

The main point for me is XML and XML supporting activities. You could say it is a way of being more formal with Aastra and making them feeling easier about helping me push XML apps forward on their platform.
